On November 18, we closed the 2020 season of 1855 MASTERCLASS with Denise Williams, CEO, First Nations Technology Council, in an exclusive presentation of “Your Right to Access”. Facilitated by nationally recognized media personality, Tasha Kheiriddin, this gritty fireside discussion brought to light the long-standing systemic crisis that has been happening in our nation's Indigenous communities for decades. Guests were invited to explore Indigenous wisdom and ways of “being”, that are key to how we live today, as we innovate forward, and encouraged to step up and live in right relation, as Indigenous peoples have for thousands of years on the land we walk today.
We also enjoyed an exclusive musical performance by JUNO Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk.
